Onward Resources is a privately held Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Inspection group focused on enhancing field performance for Exploration & Production companies.
Led by industry experts, our goal is to provide unmatched upstream, midstream, and downstream facilities, production, and pipeline services and solutions.
Role is on-site in Midland, Texas or Houston, Texas. Company will support relocation.
Responsibilities:
Provide process design / project development support for the development / execution of new projects.
Support capital project development from Stage 1: Development and Business Planning Stage.
Manages and ensures successful development of deliverables of project or project component to meet prioritized objectives (Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule, others as appropriate)
Support facilities definition activities during early development stages, including site selection studies, optimization studies, and preliminary equipment sizing and develop the Process Design deliverables to ensure technical quality and completeness of facilities definition.
Lead, organize and ensure successful development of FEED deliverable in a contractor's office as a FEED leader.Assist in creating proposal estimates/manhours for potential projects.
Lead and supervise project design team, ensures interfaces with others are established and managed.
Coordinate reviews with Manufacturing, Process Engineering / Technology, and Engineering Specialists
Interact with the various technical disciplines to identify & resolve any deviations from key project requirements.
Provide Process Design Follow Up Support at Stage 4 and at Stage 5 (Execute and Operate Stage)
Responsible for ensuring the integrity of design specifications while working with contractors in Stage 4 (Execute Stage)
Participate in FEED package review, Flow Plan / P&ID reviews, HAZOP reviews, PHA meetings, 3D Model reviews. Ensure that all follow-ups are resolved / closed.
Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving for the existing (brown field) facilities.
Identifies opportunities to improve work processes.
Qualifications / Experience Required:
Degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university
Must be able to relocate to Midland, TX or Houston, TX
At least 5 years of relevant process engineering/design experience in the petrochemical / chemical / refinery industry / Upstream and/or midstream facilities
Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task, manage multiple interfaces and prioritize work.
Knowledge of process modeling software and experience in the use of relevant technical computing tools and design tools for hydraulic calculations, TRV relief amongst other evaluations
Familiarity with the development of H&MB, PFD / P&IDs and design specification of process equipment
Good knowledge of industry standards and practices related to process design and safety.
EIT/PE License is a plus.
Knowledge in using process software such as ProMAX and HYSYS.
Knowledge use Bluebeam REVU
