(Course value of over $500) - On the job training will be provided to all nursing assistants. The training period will be tailored to each individual, longer or shorter depending on comfort level and experience
- Effective communication
- A patient attitude while working with residents and coworkers
- Willingness to learn local, state, and federal laws/regulations in regards to long-term care
- Willingness to obtain certification within 120-days of employment
- Answer residents' call lights to determine needs
- Turn and reposition residents while they are in bed
- Provide physical support to assist residents in performing daily living activities such as getting in/out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, using the bathroom, standing, walking, or exercising
- Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure residents receive appropriate diet
- Record food and liquid intake and output as necessary
- Reporting changes in resident condition to nursing staff and develop relationships with residents to ensure their stay is comfortable

Hours: We are currently hiring for Mornings (6 AM to 2 PM), Afternoons (2 PM to 10 PM) and Nights (10 PM to 6 AM). At Sandy Health and Rehab we work 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week.
