    Position Summary


    The Senior Customer Solutions Design Engineer will develop and review design concepts and documentation in cooperation and collaboration with customers.

    Primary Functions
    Assess customer needs and provide solutions, including manufacturability requirements, maximizing value to the customer.
    Analyze customer specification/design data to determine feasibility and manufacturability.
    Work directly with customers to use our capabilities to solve their problems.
    Create 3D models and/or detailed layout drawings.

    Apply applicable design and engineering standards to ensure product conformance, including NEC, OSHA, ASTM, EN, IECEx standards, and EU Directives (ATEX 94/9/EC).

    Requirements

    Education and Experience
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university
    Two+ years' experience in low volume, engineer-to-order environment.

    Skills
    Developed knowledge of design technology and product applications.
    Developed knowledge of electrical and electromechanical technology and product applications.
    Progressive capabilities related to design for manufacturability, engineering standards, and CAD/detailed drawings.
    Ability to manage complicated technical projects with service-oriented customer communication.
