- Assist in the preparation of Airport Master Plan, Airport Layout Plan and other planning studies.
- Assist in public meetings to present Airport Master Plans, and coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration
- Coordinate with various federal, state, and local agencies.
- Read, interpret, and compose Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Assessments, NEPA documentation, and noise/land use studies.
- Administer environmental field surveys for biological, archeological, cultural, wetland and other resources.
- Evaluate potential environmental impacts associated with airport improvement projects receiving Federal and/or State financial assistance.
- Perform other duties and departmental functions as assigned.
- 6 months to a year of experience in writing airport planning documents.
- Previous aviation planning or environmental internship is highly desired.
- Pursuing Aviation Management, Civil Engineering or Planning Degree
- Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job.
