Job Description:
The Role: Vascular Sonography Technologist - Per Diem
Are you a skilled Vascular Sonographer searching for a role that offers flexibility, income supplementation, and a balanced work-life blend? Embrace the possibilities with our Per Diem Vascular Sonographer position at MaineGeneral Health.
The Work:
- Perform clinical vascular diagnostic services
- Gather an accurate and comprehensive patient history and ensure thorough documentation
- Verify patient identification, and assess clinical symptoms, historical information, and overall physical condition to determine relevance to the requested ultrasound exam
- Interpret examination results and promptly report emergent findings to referring physicians
- Display a commitment to professional growth and competence by participating in educational functions within the department, including training
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills when interacting with patients, families, referring physicians and staff, nursing unit personnel, and medical center departments
You Have:
- Vascular technology training beyond high school or an Associate degree
- Registered as a Vascular Technologist (RVT) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or registered as a Vascular Specialist (RVS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within 1 year of graduating from a vascular sonography program
- 1 or more years of previous experience with a variety of modalities including extra cranial, venous, peripheral arterial, and visceral
