    SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ANALYST

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. As a vital member of the finance team, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements and effective financial management to support the organization's mission

    TYPE: Long term contract

    PAY: Up to $95K DOE- may have a little flexibility

    HOURS: Monday-Friday 8:00a-5:00p- flexible on hours as long as 8 hours are worked

    YOUR DUTIES FOR THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ANALYST:

    • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    • Generate financial reports for internal stakeholders, management, and external parties as required.
    • Provide insightful financial analysis to aid decision-making processes.
    • Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets.
    • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
    • Assist in the development of financial forecasts to support organizational planning.
    • Manage and account for grants, ensuring compliance with grantor requirements.
    • Prepare financial reports for grantors and participate in grant audits
    • Oversee the integrity of the general ledger.
    • Perform monthly reconciliations for all relevant accounts.
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
    • Bank Reconciliations
    • Journal entries
    • Assist Director of Finance in the annual budgeting process.
    • Understand variances from the budget
    • Cash flow management
    • Prepare initial financials needed for lender and tax compliance
    • Prepare annual financials for review

    HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED FOR THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ANALYST:

    • ·Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Senior Accountant.
    • Must be comfortable being a hands on accountant working on all aspects of accounting from A-Z.
    • Will not manage any others in this role
    • Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and compliance requirements.
    • Experience with fund accounting and grant management.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
