The R&D Electrical Engineer is part of a multidisciplinary team who are responsible for developing and refining products and processes for use in the automated logistics industry.
The R&D Electrical Engineer is largely focused on industrial electrical design but is also engaged in aspects of machine control and electromechanical design.
This role requires travel up to 10%, both domestically and internationally.Core Job Functions Include:
Creating electrical designs and architectures for standard productsDefining design parameters for the application of standard products by project teamsBeing well versed in applicable standards such as UL and NECDeveloping and maintaining standard methods for performing engineering calculationsSetting process and design standards in place for use by project teamsHelping develop automation for repetitive CAD and design processesExecuting or coordinating physical testing of equipmentSuccess:Success in this role will require adopting and embracing an agile mindset: acknowledging the need for learning, experimentation, and continuous improvement, embracing emerging challenges and viewing failure as a learning opportunity, a preoccupation with innovating and delivering steadily more customer value, getting work done in small self-organizing teams, and collaborating in an interactive network
