- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide direct instruction to students in a variety of academic subjects
- Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet the unique needs of each student
- Collaborate with other members of the educational team, including general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student performance and progress
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid state teaching license with Special Education endorsement
- Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
