    Overview

    As a Data Analyst & Engineer specializing in Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and maintenance of data solutions within our organization. You will utilize your expertise in AWS services and data analysis to drive actionable insights, optimize data workflows, and contribute to the overall success of our data-driven initiatives.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, implement, and maintain scalable data architectures on AWS, leveraging services such as Amazon Redshift, Amazon Aurora, Amazon RDS, and AWS Glue.
    • Develop efficient data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into AWS data storage solutions.
    • Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decision-making.
    • Utilize data analysis tools such as Amazon Athena, Amazon QuickSight, Tableau and AWS Data Pipeline to visualize and communicate findings effectively.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and develop solutions for integrating disparate data sources.
    • Implement data transformation processes using AWS services like AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, and AWS Step Functions to ensure data quality and consistency.
    • Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing performance using AWS best practices and optimization techniques.
    • Monitor and fine-tune AWS resources to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency.
    • Implement data security measures and access controls to safeguard sensitive information stored in AWS data repositories.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) in all data-related activities.
    • Automate data management tasks and workflows using AWS services like AWS Lambda, AWS Batch, and AWS CloudFormation.
    • Design scalable solutions that accommodate growing data volumes and evolving business needs.
    • Document data pipelines, architectures, and processes to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure maintainability.
    • Share expertise and best practices with team members through training sessions, workshops, and documentation.

    Qualifications:

    • Must haves: ability to write SQL queries, code in Python, one data visualization tool(tableau, looker, AWS Quicksight or any other)
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Statistics, or equivalent work experiences.
    • 2+ years of experience working as a data analyst or engineer with a focus on AWS technologies.
    • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies such as Amazon Redshift, MySQL, Snowflake or PostgreSQL.
    • 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services including but not limited to S3, EC2, Lambda, Glue, Athena, QuickSight, and Data Pipeline.
    • Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
