    $72,353-$101,294Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in business administration, accounting, or related fieldMinimum three years' experience in accounting, business management or related fieldExperience in public school accounting preferredSchool and/or business leadership experienceExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrated skills in computer technology and financial / computer software applicationsSatisfactory work record & criminal/child abuse clearances (Acts 34, 114 and 151)Such additional or alternatives to the above qualifications as the Director may determine appropriate and acceptableSummaryUnder the direct supervision of the Director of Financial Planning, the Accounting Manager assures adequate fiscal controls and proper accounting and disbursement procedures and ensures that district expenditures are within grant limits and approved budget appropriations and are according to local, state, and federal policies and regulations.

    Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesServes as an advisor to the Director of Finance on issues relating to the business and financial affairs of the DistrictAssists in annual budget development and assumes responsibility for its day-to-day administrationAssists in financial monitoring and budget forecastingProvides monthly reporting of expenditures to all schools and departmentsCoordinates and reviews budgetary transfers and prepares list for Board approvalsManages purchasing and bidding processes pursuant to State code and related guidelines, and ensures participation in select joint purchasing effortsOversees the preparation and submission of required accounting reports, including but not limited to the Act 80 report and the PDE-374 reportProvides oversight in establish new budget codesInvoices other school districts and entities for services provided by the ASDProvides oversight of the completion of required state, federal and independent auditsAssist in the preparation of a 5-year Budget ForecastForecast 5, Position Control, Plancon J.

    Analyzes the effectiveness of districts financial programsPrepare reports as required by the District AuditorsInsures timely payment of outstanding bond, EMMA responsibility PDE 2071Oversees monthly closings and reconciliation of accountsAnnual recognition with Tax & Revenue CollectionsRecommends new procedures as desirable and necessary to improve efficiency and effectiveness in all business functionsPerforms such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned or delegated by the Executive Director of Financial Planning, the Chief Financial Officer and/or the Superintendent of SchoolsNote:

    Supervisory ResponsibilitiesAssists the Executive Director of Financial Planning in the supervision of staff the Business/Finance Office, and assists in the coordination and evaluation of these individuals.

    Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems as needed. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the district's policies and applicable laws.
