Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators.
- Perform routine inspections of irrigation components to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions and execute timely repairs.
- Assist with general lawn care and landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, and soil preparation.
- Operate construction equipment safely to assist with system installation or landscape projects.
- Maintain detailed records of system repairs, installations, and maintenance activities for ongoing system performance tracking.
- Collaborate with the landscaping team to ensure cohesive landscape design and health through proper irrigation practices.
- Use horticultural knowledge to recommend adjustments for plant health and water efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in irrigation systems or related construction work.
- Familiarity with landscaping, lawn care, horticulture, and general landscape maintenance techniques.
- Skilled in operating hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as excavators safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of irrigation components including valves, controllers, sprinklers, and piping systems.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy equipment and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills for diagnosing system issues quickly.
- Prior experience working with landscaping or horticultural projects is preferred but not required.
