    Experience and Skills:

    • 5+ years of experience in translating business requirements into detailed data specifications.
    • Proficiency in building specifications for data modelers to design data warehouses.
    • Strong expertise in SSRS and Power BI report analysis to identify underlying data and modeling needs.
    • In-depth knowledge of data warehousing technical aspects and dimensional modeling practices.
    • Familiarity with data warehouse methodologies and best practices for requirements gathering and documentation.
    • Proficiency in data analysis and query methods using SQL.
    • Experience in ETL/ELT specification analysis and documentation.
    • Understanding of data security and access control documentation.
    • (Preferred) Familiarity with Data Vault data modeling and Databricks Medallion architecture.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into detailed data specifications.
    • Develop specifications for data modelers to design and implement data warehouse solutions.
    • Analyze SSRS and Power BI reports to identify underlying data and modeling needs, providing insights for improving data quality and reporting accuracy.
    • Apply expertise in data warehousing technical aspects and dimensional modeling practices to optimize data warehouse performance and scalability.
    • Utilize data warehouse methodologies and best practices for requirements gathering and documentation, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Conduct data analysis and write SQL queries to extract insights and support decision-making processes.
    • Document ETL/ELT specifications and ensure compliance with data security and access control requirements.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Data Vault data modeling and Databricks Medallion architecture (preferred).
    • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns or issues.
    • Maintain a proactive and can-do mindset, actively seeking opportunities to improve processes and deliverables.
