    Description

    Scope

    The supervisor is responsible for the overall coordination, management, and prioritization of terminal day-to-day activities with terminal operators. This position will have a direct line of reporting to the terminal manager.

    Position Clarifications

    • The supervisor shift will generally be 5 days a week, 8 hrs. a day. Specific times are to be coordinated with the terminal manager.
    • The expectation is that there will also be exceptions that require oversight or communications during off hours.
    • This position will be included in all general supervisor meetings and training as needed and directed by the terminal manager.
    • All other Circle K employee guidelines apply

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Management of day-to-day stock accounting with terminal operators
    • Act as alternate FSO and QI backing up terminal manager.
    • Manage JDE-PM program for maintenance tracking and work order follow-up.
    • Act as the primary focal point for onsite contractors
    • Interact, direct, and schedule contractors for maintenance activities.
    • Communicate with the operations/terminal manager to identify potential maintenance issues.
    • Work with the terminal manager to identify priority actions for safe efficient operations.
    • In conjunction with the technical, and terminal manager, maintain and monitor the critical spare parts list for the terminal.
    • Assist and support with troubleshooting of terminal operations systems (FuelFacs, Fuels Manager, Vapor Watch, butane injection, etc.)
    • Support terminal manager to ensure the requirements of the terminal's safety regulations, environmental, and emergency procedures are adhered to. (Terminal Handbook)
    • Ensure that plant and equipment are inspected in accordance with legislative requirements and guidelines.
    • Consistently work towards identifying and implementing cost-reduction efforts in areas of procurement, technical solutions, and energy consumption.

    Qualifications, Knowledge, & Skills

    • Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills.

    • Possess critical thinking and analytical skills
    • Ability to prioritize and manage competing demands.
    • Pro-active management mindset for achieving objectives
    • Inherent safe work practices and habits suitable for an industrial work environment
    • Knowledge of and working competency of terminal automation systems (FuelFacs)
    • Knowledge and basic awareness of automated tank gauging systems (Fuels Manager, butane injection, etc.)
    • Knowledge and basic awareness of other applicable standards, API-653, API-570, API-510, API-2350, NFPA-30, NFPA-58, etc. (acceptable on the job training)
    • Overall competent skills in utilizing SharePoint sites, Microsoft Teams

    Requirements

    • Minimum 10 years of terminal operations experience
    • Minimum 3 years terminal management/supervisor experience
    • Strong computer skills in current work-related applications, Microsoft 365, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
    • Valid driver license
