    Description
    Position Summary:

    The RN will be responsible for the care and treatment of patients in a medical practice setting as directed by a physician. The RN will ensure that quality care is provided to all patients and is responsible for maintaining confidential records of vital statistics and other pertinent data. The RN will notify patients of diagnostic test results, ensure that clients receive appropriate follow-up care, and educate patients to assure understanding of physician's orders effectively. The RN will perform duties including but not limited to; rooming patients in a timely manner, recording nursing notes, vital signs, weight, etc., and coordinating care within the office team.

    Qualifications

    Education:
    • Associates Degree in Nursing required.
    Licensure/Certification:
    • Current South Carolina (or compact state) licensure as RN (SCLLR) in good standing required
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
    Experience:
    • Previous acute care experience preferred.
    • A Minimum of 2 (Two) years prior experience working in physician office setting required. 5 years preferred.
    • Knowledge of standard medical office practices and procedures required.
    • Knowledge of current referral sources/authorization processes preferred.
    • Previous Electronic Medical Record Systems experience preferred.
    Special Skills:
    • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with co-workers, nursing colleagues, physicians, and department heads.
    • Exemplary core customer service skills required.
    • Knowledge of nursing theory and practice required.
    • Strong organizational skills required.
    • Strong PC skills required.
    • Strong verbal communication skills required.
    • Ability to exercise independent judgment in emergency situations required.
