    Description
    Nevada Regional Medical Center has an opportunity for the Chief Financial Officer. The Chief Financial Officer provides leadership and direction to financial departments for the overall fiscal responsibility of the organization.

    As the Chief Financial Officer you will:

    Provide leadership of all financial departments. Includes but not limited to Accounting, Patient Financial Services, Health Information, and Materials Management.

    Assists CEO in the development of long and short-range hospital plans.

    Develops long and short-range operational and capital budgets.


    Assures timely and accurate preparation of finance reports and assures that the reports reliably reflect the financial position of the hospital.


    Monitor financial and economic information to identify trends and indicators that may impact business operations, planning, investments, and so forth.

    Communicate financial operational performance with all stakeholders, including senior administration, appropriate facility staff members and others as required.

    Review denials issues and trends for maximizing net reimbursement for Facility.

    Review contracts, purchase agreements, and other financial arrangements.


    Responsible for direction and submission on a timely basis of all financial data associated reports required by government and other regulated agencies.

    Performs other job responsibilities accurately as assigned by their supervisor or their designee.

    The Chief Financial Officer will display:

    The ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with board members, physicians, administration, department directors, employees and the public.

    The ability to establish credibility and be decisive, but able to recognize and support the organizations's references and priorities.

    Be results oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations.

    The Chief Financial Officer is required to have:

    3-5 years' experience in acute care hospital finance. Prior hospital CFO experience, preferred.

    Bachelor's Degree with Major in Accounting, Business or Finance from an accredited university or college.

    Master's Degree and CPA certification preferred.

    Rural and community hospital and CPSI experience preferred.

    Revenue Cycle Management preferred.
