- Perform low voltage hardware installations in vehicles and facilities, including tablets, modems, GPS units, cameras, and related peripherals
- Troubleshoot power, wiring, connectivity, mounting, and configuration issues on-site and remotely
- Validate installations against RideCo standards, safety requirements, and client specifications
- Manage hardware provisioning, staging, kitting, and asset tracking
- Administer and maintain Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms
- Support remote service ticket intake, triage, troubleshooting, and resolution
- Maintain accurate documentation for assets, configurations, and deployments
- Manage and maintain vendor relationships, including coordination, issue resolution, and follow-ups
- Support Sales and Solutions teams by assisting with hardware quoting, configurations, and technical feasibility reviews
- Coordinate logistics, lead times, and deployment readiness with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Lead installation efforts independently without step-by-step direction
- Track project progress, identify risks, and communicate status updates proactively
- Create and maintain SOPs, installation guides, and process documentation
- Provide in-person and remote training or guidance to clients and partners as needed
- Other duties/projects as assigned
- Travel to client sites for installations, audits, troubleshooting, and training
- Support multi-day deployments and time-sensitive go-live events
- Proven experience in low voltage field installations or mobile hardware deployments
- Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, grounding, and cable management
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues independently
- Comfortable working in transit, fleet, or field environments
- Experience with transit, fleet, or mobility technology deployments
- Experience managing MDM platforms and large device fleets
- Familiarity with service ticketing systems and remote support workflows
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and vendors
- Current or past MECP (Mobile Electronic Certified Professional) Certificate is considered an asset
- Highly autonomous and accountable
- Comfortable owning projects end-to-end without hand-holding
- Strong communicator with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills
- Adaptable in fast-paced, field-driven environments
- Base Salary: $75K - $100K + performance based bonus + stock options

Description
This is an opportunity in the exciting and fast-growing transportation technology industry. Public transit is being transformed from a system of static, scheduled fixed-routes, to a dynamic on-demand network, and you'll be one of the pioneers shaping this transformation.
RideCo is seeking a highly experienced Low Voltage Field Technician / Hardware Implementation Specialist based in New York City to support complex transit and mobility deployments across North America. This role requires a self-directed professional who can execute hands-on field work while also owning administrative and operational responsibilities related to hardware programs.
The ideal candidate can install and troubleshoot hardware in the field, manage deployments remotely, coordinate with vendors and clients, and support internal teams without requiring constant oversight.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Field Installation & Technical Support:
RideCo powers on-demand transit. Public transit agencies and fleet operators use RideCo's cloud-based software platform to provide on-demand shared rides in dynamically routed buses and vans. RideCo is growing rapidly, and it is the most adopted cloud-based on-demand transit software among the ten largest cities in the United States. Our marquee clients include Philadelphia's SEPTA, RTC Las Vegas, San Antonio Metro, and Houston Metro.
RideCo's software powers a diverse range of use cases, including paratransit, residential/ suburban travel; first-mile-last-mile connections for transit hubs; and corporate employee transportation.
