SAW, Inc. is excited to offer paid summer internships where you will have the opportunity to support individuals with developmental disabilities in our adult activity centers and community settings. Gain skills that will help you explore your educational or career path in areas such as education, social work, OT/PT, speech, healthcare worker and many more

What You'll Do:

• Work alongside our dedicated team to facilitate engaging recreational activities and instruction either one-on-one or in groups.
• Assist individuals in achieving their goals with help and encouragement while fostering a culture of positivity and inclusivity in all interactions.
• You may work with our team to implement assessments, support goal development, plan a special event or research curriculum ideas.

What You'll Gain:

• Hands-on experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities while receiving comprehensive training in social, work, and planning skills.
• Training in fine and gross motor skill development necessary for work assignments and enabling independence.
• Enhanced communication and teamwork skills through cooperative work, as well as understanding the needs of others.

• Must be at least 16 years old.

Requirements:

Valid Ohio driver license or State of Ohio ID
