    The Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) will administer the Nursing Services under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the facility, and local, state and federal regulations, to maximize the fulfillment of care-giving needs of the residents

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    To perform this job, an individual must perform essential functions satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation; including, but not limited to: Orient, instruct and supervise other nursing personnelEvaluate resident' condition and care and assist in the development overall care plans for residents, and restorative activitiesPerform emergency procedures such as Cardiopulmonary resuscitationAssist in organizing, managing, reviewing, monitoring, authorizing and administering nursing care functions for residents within the facilityAssist with the scheduling report of personnel; as well as the daily assignments of individuals working in the Nursing Services DepartmentAssist the DON with evaluating the competencies of nursing staffAssist in determining the staffing needs of the Nursing Services Department, recommendation of number of employees needed, and assist with the recruitment and hiring of Nursing Service personnelAssist in arranging for and overseeing resident admissions, transfers and discharges

    Required Work Experience:
    Preferred Two (2)

    Years' experience in supervision of others in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other health care institutionMinimum of one (1) year experience implementing total patient care and care planningMinimum of (6) months experience in geriatric and/or psychiatric nursingLicensing/Certification/Education Requirements:
    Registered Nursing (RN)

    Degree requiredMinimum of a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of TennesseeCurrent CPR CertificationPhysical Requirements:
    Job will require frequent lifting of objects up to 40 pounds
