Job Summary
This position involves performing wire welding functions understanding and applying basic principles of TIG welding setting up jigs and fixtures non-structural tack welds secondary processing operations including sand blasting wire brushing grinding maintaining welding equipment torches coolers hoses cables other equipment as needed working in compliance to NADCAP requirements passing reviews for workmanship procedure operator assessment refresher training cross-training performing welding functions in other areas product line outside home department assisting troubleshooting products effectively efficiently producing parts according certification quality guidelines frequent interaction internal external customers support functions completing written electronic labor tracking documentation communicating team ensuring all team members aware new processes ideas etc reporting problems appropriate resource coach proactively working improve efficiency quality products participating team initiatives utilizing proper PPE safety equipment follow safety procedures per position requirements understanding abiding GE Behaviors.
