    SummaryThe Arrow Fastener Company, LLC, manufacturer of the famous T50 Staple Gun, HT50 Hammer Tacker, other related tools and staples, seeks to fill a new position for a Manufacturing Engineer to maintain and improve manufacturing operations in our Saddle Brook, NJ factory.

    Our primary manufacturing activities are assembly, progressive-die stamping, heat treating, and nickel-chrome electroplating.

    The successful candidate will have familiarity with at least some of these processes, and proven success in conceiving, designing, and implementing improvements thereto.

    Experience with lean methodologies (Kaizen, Six-Sigma), electromechanical systems (PLC's, stepper motors, sensors and controls), and pneumatic systems is required. There may also be opportunities to assist our overseas manufacturing partners with lean initiatives to accomplish cost improvements.     ResponsibilitiesEvaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvementsCreate processes and procedures to help the company meet budgetary goals as well as key performance indicatorsCollaborate with internal colleagues and external resources to advance project workDesign and develop new production equipment to improve manufacturing processesSpecify and implement automation systems (e.g. pick-and-place robotics)Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings to ensure collaborating and cohesionFacilitate continuous improvement events and activities, follow through to achieve resultsImprove manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layoutAchieve cost-saving initiatives from concept through implementationCo-develop schedules and budgets for projects, and keep projects on schedule and on budgetManage multiple concurrent projectsQualificationsBachelor of Science in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electro-Mechanical EngineeringMinimum four years related experience, including manual and automated assembly processesStrong organizational, analytical, and communication skillsExperience with related manufacturing processesProven success in lean-manufacturing projectsKnowledge of electromechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic machine systemsKnowledge of machine controls and integrationProficiency with 3D and 2D CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD preferred)Valid Passport, eligible for China Visa#L1-LM1#AF
