    Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager reporting directly to the Vice President of the business to develop, implement, and monitor company environmental health and safety (EH&S) programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.

    What you will be doing:

    • Directs activities related to EH&S programs at two (2) TESI locations in Hunt Valley and Sparks MD and ensures company compliance with any applicable regulations, reviews requirements regarding safety aspects.
    • Oversees the development, planning and implementation of environmental, health and safety policies and procedures (chemical safety, ergonomics, illness and injury prevention and building safety) within the company.
    • Plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
    • Coordinates company Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Safety Committee.
    • Conducts periodic on-site facility audits to check for compliance with OSHA guidelines.
    • Investigates root causes of accidents and prepares reports with the findings and corrective actions.
    • Ensures, maintains all necessary permits for Environmental and Regulatory Compliance and completes all regulatory reporting requirements.
    • Ensures that appropriate corrective action is taken where health and safety hazards exist.
    • Promotes workplace safety, and assists in the development, maintenance, and management of EH&S programs at the site(s), including proactive incident and illness prevention, respiratory protection, contractor safety, and hazardous chemical management.
    • Manage safety programs, conduct training and manage documentation, including but not limited to: Lockout/Tagout, Injury and Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP), Evacuation Procedures, PPE, Ergonomics, Bloodborne Pathogens.
    • Compiles, analyzes, maintains and interprets safety statistical data related to exposure factors concerning occupational illnesses and accidents, first aid incidents, near miss records and conduct root cause analysis for accident reports and evaluate injury case studies.
    • Support Onboarding and Orientation safety training.
    • Supervisory responsibility for 1-2 other EHS staff including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and mentoring, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    What you will bring to the table:

    • Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety, business, engineering, or related field.
    • 5 years of directly related experience within a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Position requires a minimum of 2 years supervisory/management experience (position has one direct report).
    • Must have a thorough knowledge of practices and methods for developing and administering a comprehensive EH&S program, including designing employee EH&S training programs.
    • Must be proficient in performing EH&S assessments to identify workplace hazards and determining appropriate control measures.
    • Must have a broad knowledge of the methods and practices for conducting accident and workplace safety audits and investigations required.
    • Safety and Environmental experience including implementing programs to comply with federal and state regulations (OSHA and MDE), experience conducting safety and environmental training; working knowledge of the following programs: lockout/tagout, machine guarding, compressed gas, electrical safety, hazard communication, personal protective equipment, emergency action plan and fire safety.
    • Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to handle challenging issues.
    • Good communication skills (verbal and written) are required to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and management on EHS issues.

    • Candidate is required to either hold an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
