Description
The Dougherty County EMS Department is hiring on a continuous basis for full-time Emergency Medical Technicians - Advanced.
Essential Tasks
Employee in this position is responsible for, but not limited to: responding to calls for emergency assistance; operates emergency vehicles; accesses situations and performing emergency rescue as required; providing emergency medical care to patients and transports for further medical treatment if required; maintaining ambulance and equipment in good operating condition; restocks ambulance supplies, maintains cleanliness of ambulance after each patient transport.
Minimum Qualification
High school graduate or equivalent; 21 years of age; and be certified by the Georgia Department of Human Resources, Division of Public Health, as a Certified EMT - A. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Must possess and maintain valid Georgia Driver's License and present evidence of a good driving record for the past three years.
REQUIRED AT INTERVIEW: VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE, THREE (3) YEAR MVR DRIVING HISTORY, HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT, CURRENT LEVEL OF TRAINING LICENSE, STATE CERTIFICATION, CURRENT CPR CARD, CURRENT BLS, AND ANY OTHER RELATED CERTIFICATE(S) AND/OR DOCUMENT(S). RESUMES ARE RECOMMENDED AS PART OF YOUR APPLICATION BUT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IN LIEU OF A COMPLETED APPLICATION.
