    Position Overview

    The Security Project Technician will be responsible for the configuration, installation, and coordination of security projects within client on-premises and cloud environments. Projects will be identified and scoped in conjunction with our Security consulting team and the architecture design desk team. This role also includes review and remediation of cyber security findings. On a monthly basis clients are given a remediation report consisting of recommend change to the client environment. Remediation consists of applying patches to key network infrastructure (Firewalls, WAP's, VPN, Servers, etc.) as well as configuring additional security settings in AD/Azure/Firewall/VPN, MFA tools, etc. The Security Project Engineer will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously and will need to effectively collaborate and communicate with key contacts at clients sites via email and calls.

    Required Skills

    Administration and review of M365 including Azure AD

    · Familiar administration of EDR Tools (S1, Defender, Sophos)

    • Proficient with common protocols/services (AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SMTP, RDP, FTP etc.)
    • Basic knowledge of data security principles & networking protocols
    • Basic knowledge of the CIS Critical Controls and defensive methodologies.
    • Lead and implement project work plans at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security.
    • Lead and implement project work plans of on-premises, hosted and cloud solutions for customers using technologies that meet their requirements.
    • Lead and implement project work plans of Microsoft Server related technologies: Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, etc.
    • Lead and implement project work plans for remote access solutions: VPN, Terminal Services, etc.
    Additional Duties and Responsibilities
    • Work to remediate security vulnerabilities and implement security measures.
    • Documentation of tasks, findings, and client details into ticketing systems
    • Demonstrated ability to build working relationships with a wide range of operational teams.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction.

    Requirements


    • 2-4yrs Experience as Network Administrator/ Project Engineer

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience

    • Desired Certifications: MS-102 M365 Admin Training & Certification

    • Exam SC-900: Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
