    Description

    FOR USE BY IT AND HSIS ONLY:

    The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a SYSTEMS ANALYST-ENTERPRISE to conduct business requirements reviews, technical systems specifications and systems process analysis.

    To develop detailed selection evaluation criteria.

    To analyze and re-engineer business processes using industry standard tools and methods with understanding of the technical and business environments.

    To partner with business process experts to learn and understand problems with software. To develop innovative IT solutions for risky and demanding business situations.

    This position will commit to fostering an environment of heightened security following Information Technology Security Policies and participating in security training, such as Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), on an annual basis.


    Responsibilities for this position:
    a) Technical resource responsible for supporting Oracle ERP Finance application - Oracle Accounts Payable and Purchasing applications.
    b) Analyze and translate business requirements into technical specifications. Develop technical effort estimate assist with project planning.
    c) Develop programs (PL/SQL, Java) to support forms, reports and interfaces for Financial applications.
    d) Work effectively with vendor on support issues and patching.

    (Annual Salary:
    $63,875 - $103,800)

    Qualifications

    Associate's degree in Information Systems or a related field and four (4) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.

    Preferred Skills:
    a) Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
    b) Strong experience with SQL, PL/SQL programming and report development.
    c) Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
    d) Work independently with minimal supervision.

    e) Vendor management project management Work experience with Oracle EBS (Enterprise Business Suite) Financial modules is preferred but not required.
