- Advance individual and organizational relationships that result in grant or investment contributions for RMI to develop and scale our global programs.
- Represent RMI at international convenings to cultivate funding opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Support programmatic teams and leadership to understand the qualifications required in specific funding opportunities, and collaborate with core operating units as they develop systems, controls, and processes to manage restricted funding according to donor requirements.
- Research funding opportunities, key milestones, and dates, and manage the inquiry process with partnership teams.
- Develop proposals with internal and external teams.
- Work with and manage cross-team collaborations to create compelling proposals, cultivate new prospects, and steward existing funders.
- Use Salesforce database to document moves management process and provide accurate relationship status and financial projections for portfolio.
- Work collaboratively with RMI program teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of RMI's work and build strong working relationships with program leaders.
- Interpret proposal technical and operational requirements and engage key players to ensure compliance.
- Prepare communications and materials, design meeting content, and coordinate activities with program colleagues as needed.
- Serve as an active member of the Development and Fundraising Team and perform other duties as required or assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental field, public administration, international relations, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in international aid, multilateral funding or with related international development agencies required.
- Experience cultivating relationships and funding opportunities with USAID and related US entities undertaking international development work preferred.
- Experience working successfully with top-level Executives in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent writing and editing skills for the key stakeholders.
- Understanding of multilateral and bilateral monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
- For-profit and investment experience would also be desirable, in particular considerable knowledge of fundraising techniques, sources of funding for nonprofit agencies and organizations, or an equivalent combination of experience in corporate sales.
- International work experience required.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, post-COVID restrictions.
- Act as administrator for RMI's corporate credit card program
- Process supplier invoices. Ensure required supporting documentation has been obtained including proper authorization of payment and coding of the expense
- Review incoming employee expense reports. Check all receipts and accompanying detail, ensure account coding is accurate and verify expense reports adhere to the travel & expense policy
- Act as functional lead for Workday expenses module
- Research and resolve supplier invoice and employee expense report discrepancies and issues
- Request and verify tax documentation from suppliers
- Correspond with suppliers and respond to inquiries
- Work in partnership with project management staff to troubleshoot any issues with supplier invoice and employee expense report submission
- Assist with Accounts Receivable, including collections and customer invoicing
- Process incoming receipts, review for accuracy and completeness. Ensure proper documentation is filed.
- Collaborate with Development on reconciliation of donation receipts
- Record restricted customer invoices, create Gift worktag as necessary
- Collaborate with Grants Management team on creation of Gift worktags. Ensure proper documentation is filed.
- Provide backup for recording manual journal entries in Workday
- Provide backup support for all core accounting staff
- Provide back-up and support the supplier onboarding process by sending out supplier onboarding forms
- Provide back-up and support the procurement process by vetting suppliers and entering in new suppliers, entering key contract information, and setting up POs.
- Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls and procedures
- Other projects needed by the accounting team as they arise
- Experience in a transaction processing role (either Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable) preferred

Development Officer - Multilateral/Bilateral and Government Relationships
We are hiring an energetic, mission-focused development professional skilled at building both internal and external relationships to maximize funding opportunities and build operational capacity to secure government, bilateral and multilateral funding at RMI.
The Development Officer will be responsible for the development and management of a portfolio primarily of current and prospective government, bilateral and multilateral funders. This includes working with programmatic staff to build relationship strategy and cases for support, and building and leveraging key relationships and contacts within and outside of the organization's network. The Development Officer will be a key contributor to RMI's Development and Fundraising Team and will be essential to the achievement of the organization's fundraising goals.
Individuals in this position must have high attention to detail and be able to work as a leader or in a support role as needed to secure and steward major funding relationships. The individual should be willing and able to perform both the creative thinking for donor strategies, and the due diligence to ensure eligibility and responsible stewardship for these funding relationships. Prior experience navigating USAID-related funding streams would be highly valued.

Job Summary
RMI is seeking an Accounting Coordinator who will serve a key support role on the Accounting team and across the organization. Reporting to the Assistant Controller and working closely with other RMI staff, you will be responsible for assisting in all areas of Core Accounting, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general ledger accounting. The ideal candidate is detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team environment. The ideal candidate is customer service oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams.

We are a remote-ready organization with team members around the globe. Our beautiful and welcoming offices are available for meetings or focused work, whether you are traveling through or living nearby. Our U.S. offices are in New York City; Washington DC; Oakland, California; Boulder, Colorado; and Basalt, Colorado. This role can be located anywhere in the continental United States.
We provide you with the essential IT equipment plus a one-time home technology payment and a monthly work from home/commuter allowance to ensure you have a comfortable home office set up and necessary supplies.
We love seeing each other in person We occasionally gather for shared time together like retreats and learning experiences. Be ready to travel for occasional in-person meetings (and of course, we cover travel costs). This role may be expected to travel for team events which occur approximately twice a year.
Compensation
RMI compensates based on the level and requirements of the role. Compensation within our ranges may also be determined by experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary range for this position is $96,645-$119,000. You would also have an additional 10% bonus target
