    Job Description

    ***Only qualified Risk Consultant candidates located in the Minneapolis, MN area will be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***

    Risk Assessment and Controls Oversight Consultant Preferred Qualifications:


    • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Compliance roles in financial institutions, with demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements


    • A minimum of three years in compliance risk assessment


    • Strong knowledge of Archer applications, especially risk assessment modules (bonus: ServiceNow application knowledge)


    • Experience writing compliance procedures, desktop guides


    • Deep knowledge of controls, with experience in control design and control effectiveness evaluation


    • Strong collaborative, servant leader competencies


    • Strong detail orientation, with follow-through of items to full resolution


    • Effective at successfully managing multiple concurrent priorities and deliverables


    • Advanced written and verbal communication skills


    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; action-oriented; proactive


    • Considerable understanding of compliance and financial crimes laws, rules, regulations

    Risk Assessment and Controls Oversight Consultant Responsibilities:


    • RA&CO Procedure/Guidance/Job Aid Inventory: collect, centralize, update, publish


    • Financial Crimes Risk Assessment: Identify/research identified opportunities for connection between risk assessment methodologies; implement enhancement opportunities identified ; identify opportunities to enhance visibility of Financial Crimes Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) ratings/output (including Operating Committee presentation materials); research value of expanding Enterprise Compliance Risk Assessment (ECRA) heatmap meetings with CROs to include Financial Crimes (FC) RCSA/Enterprise Financial Crimes Compliance Risk Assessment RA (EFCC RA) results


    • Financial Crimes Risk Assessment: Identify/research opportunities to enhance data quality; explore opportunities to leverage PowerBI reporting tools


    • State Law Initiative (SLI) assessment methodology reevaluation: Evaluate existing state law content in ECRA for best practices; host and facilitate discussions to evaluate SLI topics by section for inclusion in ECRA; maintain evidence of decisions; prepare and transition to BAU ECRA


    • Risk Assessment Methodology Integration: Assist with integration of various existing methodologies, including testing integration build in the lower environments; enable continuity of BAU without impact/degradation post-implementation; submit and see- through-to-completion defects; put together training content (ECRA training 101, decks for sharing with regulators, ECRA enterprise learning system course); update ECRA Procedure


    • Financial Crimes RCSA Quality Review: Assist with 3Q quality review; document outcomes; communicate findings


    • Control oversight: research benefit of elevating visibility to upcoming audits/exams and connecting them to controls for preparation; opportunity to test for expansion the AI launch


    • Assist with preparation of management and executive reporting on outcomes of risk assessment


    • Credible Challenge tool: Assist with implementation of tool; update and publish guidance/procedures; design BAU oversight; assist with socialization/training/"defect" fixing
