- Provides assessment and direct nursing health care to the Residents as prescribed by Health Care Professional
- Communicates medical changes/needs/concerns of the Residents to Clinical Vice President/Directors, Senior Nurse Manager and Colleagues through a variety of media
- Attends medical appointments as needed
- Coordinates medical supports including emergency treatment as required for Residents
- Assumes direct nursing care for all program Residents
- Effectively train Colleagues and assures competency (where applicable) of Colleagues in the special needs/ medical issues of the Residents
- Provides technical training and ensures competency of Colleagues in the use of medical devices in the program i.e., VNS, Thick-it
- Nursing Degree with a Massachusetts LPN License in good standing, preferably with a minimum of 2 year's experience but will consider recent graduates.
- One year related experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of MAP regulations and Department of Developmental Services regulations a plus
- Valid driver's license required, as is the use of a personal vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage and satisfactory CORI
