    About the role

    CBRE is looking for a Data Center Building / Campus Design Execution Manager to run the design activities related to Hyperscale Data Center construction and other projects for a large technology client.

    Serves as client's agent, consultant, advisor, and authorized owner's representative through all design phases and all design fields until hand-off to client's construction team.

    Most of the duties and responsibilities are associated with managing, coordinating, and administrating the client's design consultants used in the design efforts.

    This position is responsible for taking the program level Plan of Record and localizing the design.
    Ideal candidate is comfortable facilitating large design coordination meetings with multiple design subject areas, including "page turns" design meetings. etc.
    This is a remote position. Candidate MUST have prior large data center design experience.
    What you'll do
    Facilitate planning and kickoff workshops with internal & external stakeholders;
    Facilitate design reviews in partnership with external partners;
    Facilitate large scale workshops as necessary;
    Author scopes of work for contracts and gain buy-in from internal stakeholders;
    Issue and administer contracts;
    Define and track deliverables from various parties;
    Track of cost, schedule, progress and scope;
    Provide health reporting on cost, schedule, scope and progress;
    Build optimal design teams from matrixed internal stakeholders and the strategic procurement of external partners;
    Change management for project scope and design contracts;
    Facilitate technical decisions in-line with project needs;
    Coordinate design activities with procurement and construction;
    Provide clear and open communication with all internal stakeholder and external partners;
    Ensure the issuance of engineering information to the right party, at the right time, in the right format.

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
    Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field
    Professional licensure (PE, NCARB, RA) is strongly preferred or significant professional experience (+10 years) may substitute
    Prior experience with data center design and/or construction preferred
    Examples of design and/or construction of acceptable non-data center projects:
    Laboratory
    High Power (power plants, etc)
    7+ years of experience in design project management

    Preferred experience:
    Strong understanding of construction principles and practices
    Experience in the preparation of project plans, specifications
    Experience drafting scopes of work
    Experience of government regulations
    Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
    Working understanding of AutoCAD is necessary for drawing reviews / mark-ups

    CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $140,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $175,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
