    Within Azure Data, the Microsoft Fabric platform team builds and maintains the operating system and provides customers a unified data stack to run an entire data estate.

    Fabric platform Release Management team is hiring a Senior Manager, Release Management.

    As part of the release management team, you are looked upon to identify and mitigate risks associated with the service reliability and customer experience, communicate clearly, and set collective path forward.

    You will be leading a team responsible for shipping high quality platform services that enable multiple products in Microsoft Fabric offering.

    In your role you will be accountable to adhere to compliance and reliable release on a weekly cadence and delivering on high customer expectations.

    You will be collaborating with multiple partners and engineering teams globally to enhance and establish processes that increase productivity and efficiency.

    Required/Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product developmentOR equivalent experience.
    • 2+ years project or people management experience.
    • 2+ years experience as a Release Manager.
    • 1+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
    Other RequirementsAbility to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.

    Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

    • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
    Preferred/Additional Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product developmentOR equivalent experience.
    • 2+ years people management experience.
    • 4+ years experience as a Release manager.
    • 4+ years project or program management experience.
    • 2+ years experience in Power BI or any other similar tools is a plus.
    • 6+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
    • 1+ years experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).Technical Program Management M- The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
