    Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Del Sol Medical Center, a full-service acute-care hospital in east El Paso, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for a healthcare professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care.

    Job Summary

    The successful candidate will possess knowledge of patient responses to medication, side effects, and proper dosages used in respiratory care. They will be able to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, nursing staff, and other allied health professionals. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to teach, instruct, assess, and reassess others as needed.

    Essential Functions

    • Use knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and emergency procedures to provide safe and effective patient respiratory care.
    • Maintain strict infection control techniques at all times.
    • Assist in providing inservices for peers and staff as assigned.
    • Practice, develop, and endorse customer service skills in relationships with internal and external customers.

    Qualifications

    • Current Texas license for Respiratory Care Practitioner required on hire.
    • BCLS required on hire.
    • ACLS, STABLE, and PALS certification required within 30 days of hire.

    Estimated Salary

    $54,000 - $72,000 per year, depending on experience.
