    As the supervisor you will lead a team of environmental professionals responsible for environmental permitting and approvals for electric projects (including transmission, distribution, solar, BESS, and other related projects as necessary) in MA.

    Support a team of direct reports with developing permitting strategies, schedules, budget, and facilitating regulatory compliance. Represent the Env L&P team at various management meetings.

    Support the team to plan, execute, and obtain necessary approvals for projects in accordance with strict deadlines and within budget, including obtaining resources and coordinating efforts of team members to deliver approvals needed according to plan.

    Ensure consistent documentation and compliance with environmental requirements of permits/licenses.
    This is a hybrid role.
    The first three months are fulltime in the office.
    Essential Functions
    Conceptualize and execute plans, lead cross-functional teams, interact with regulatory agencies, manage budgets.
    Ensure strict compliance with all state and federal rules and regulations.
    Forge relationships with regulators and key stakeholders, while balancing the needs of the company.
    Build strong collaborative working relationship with utility operations leadership.
    Manage contracts, including specifications and bid documents, RFP coordination, and managing environmental consultants and vendors.
    Qualifications

    Technical Knowledge/Skill:


    Strong working knowledge of the permitting process of a wide range of regulatory agencies and frameworks such as: MEPA, MassDEP, NHESP, MHC, USACE Section 106, and local MA conservation commissions.

    Knowledge of

    transmission/distribution

    line engineering, substation engineering,

    transmission/distribution

    line construction, substation construction or transmission system planning is strongly preferred.

    Education:
    Bachelor's degree in environmental science or related field

    Experience:
    Eight (8) plus years of experience with a minimum of five (5) years utility experience (in either industry or consulting)
    Three (3) years supervising environmental professionals (preferred).

    Compensation and Benefits:
    Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $115,000 - $128,000 plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of benefits.
