- Teaching undergraduate courses in contemporary dance technique, choreography, improvisation, and/or other topics and approaches that align with the candidate's area of specialization.
- Choreograph original works on undergraduate dance majors.
- Additional departmental responsibilities include student success initiatives, recruitment, and participation in department activities that serve programmatic goals and the mission of the university.
- A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Dance or a closely related discipline is required.

Department InformationThe KSU College of the Arts (COTA) is a student-centered community of distinguished artists and scholars. As the most extensive collegiate dance program in Georgia, the KSU Department of Dance offers a B.A. in Dance with concentrations in ballet and modern dance, and a minor in Dance. KSU Dance employs 18 full/part-time faculty, and is housed in state-of-the-art dance facilities, including metropolitan Atlanta's only Dance Theater. The KSU Dance Company has received top honors at the American College Dance Association and has been invited to perform at the Kennedy Center in five national years.
