    Job Summary:
    The VP, Director of Pharmacy Services will lead the employee benefits practice pharmacy strategy through consulting and analysis services.

    Director of Pharmacy Services will leverage expertise, strong contract negotiation skill and industry-leading analytics to consistently produce validated savings to Conner Strong & Buckelew clients.

    Principal Responsibilities
    Oversee all PBM relationships, including the carve-in Rx business with health plans.
    Negotiate preferred pharmacy contract terms with PBMs and health plan carve-in business.
    Manage and oversee (including the set up) all Rx Coalition business.
    Lead the vetting and evaluation of new and emerging PBM markets, including disruptor organizations. Select new PBM partnership opportunities.
    Interface with customers in pharmacy policy and market initiatives.
    Interface and assist the internal data team with data analytic tools around PBM evaluations on cost and terms. Help create a streamlined process for sustained evaluations.
    Assist account teams (consulting teams) with day-to-day pharmacy issues, questions, etc.
    Evaluate pharmacy proposals and assist in evaluation of said deals for large clients on a day-to-day basis.
    Lead on-going policy determinations for emerging pharmacy clinical and coverage issues.
    Assist with the creation and management of PBM audit services that can be offered to clients and operationalized.
    Participate with large client retention presentations addressing pharmacy issues and initiatives.
    Participate with prospect/sales meetings in support of the pharmacy practice and expertise.
    Assist in thought leadership around pharmacy issues and initiatives.

    Requirements
    Direct experience in group health and pharmacy plan business, including financial and contractual management.

    Expertise in pharmacy benefits management including supply chain, network contracting, clinical policy, rebate management, underwriting, and other elements of PBM business.

    Fluent in the inner workings of group benefits and how pharmacy benefits fit into self-funded and insured health and benefit plans business.

    Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without Company sponsorship.

    Specialized Knowledge or Licenses
    Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm.
    D) strongly encouraged/preferred
    5-10 years' experience with regional or national PBM or Health Plan PBM required
