- Engaging with patients and/or family members to educate them on equipment usage, home exercises, and other essential techniques for post-therapy care upon discharge
- Collaborating with patients, families, and other stakeholders to establish follow-up care aligned with the care plan objectives set by the Physical Therapist
- Delivering treatment programs to assigned patients, such as modality treatments, therapeutic exercises, hydrotherapy, gait training, wound dressing, etc., in line with the care plan outlined by the Physical Therapist
- Documenting the patient's response to treatment and progress in the care plan within the patient's medical record; ensuring timely completion of daily or weekly notes as per the policy and procedure guidelines
- Providing instructions and guidance to Physical Therapy Assistant students, technicians, and attendants on patient care activities
- Counseling and educating patients and their families on the utilization of assistive devices and exercise techniques for home performance, following the care plan defined by the Physical Therapist
- Preference for a minimum of two (2) years of experience working as a PTA
- Completion of an Associates Degree from a Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Active licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the employment state
- Valid CPR Certification
- Current State of Tennessee Driver's License
- Auto Liability Insurance per Company Policy
- Potential need for unscheduled overtime and weekend shifts
- Readiness to work flexible hours
- Travel may be necessary
- Reliable transportation is essential
- Frequent lifting of objects weighing up to 40 pounds

POSITION SUMMARY:
The role of the Physical Therapist Assistant involves administering a variety of physical therapeutic treatments to patients with injuries or disabilities following evaluation and care plan development by a Physical Therapist. This position operates under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist.
