Position Summary

The Web Development Manager should have a background which includes full-stack web development, solution design, and systems engineering expertise. Knowledge of software development and integration using a variety of modern web technologies. A key attribute of the candidate is problem solving, critical thinking, and solution design within the framework of Cutera's technology platforms.

The Web Development Manager will be required to fully comprehend Cutera's web properties including applications, integrations, and infrastructure. In tandem with a thorough technical understanding, the ability to develop a deep understanding of Cutera's business model will be required. This person will need to understand business challenges and manage the development of the appropriate solutions. This is a "hands-on" management position where the incumbent is expected to contribute to the development as well as manage internal and external resources that are part of the solution team.

Additionally, this person will be called upon to work with the IT Leadership team, IT team, business partners, and key vendors to design, engineer, source and implement technology solutions in a fast paced, rapidly growing, global environment.

The incumbent will be a key contributor to the design and implementation of innovative web solutions that align to Cutera's B2B, B2C, and B2B2C strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and contribute to the development of Cutera's customer facing applications.
• Lead the selection and enforce the use of standard tools and design patterns for Cutera's web properties.
• Review code developed internally and externally to ensure that it conforms to security and coding standards.
• Key contributor to the design and implementation of systems that support Cutera's interactions with customers.
• Lead for the implementation of a robust monitoring solution that allows for improved response to production incidents that impact Cutera's web applications.
• Provides leadership for best practices and processes across key operational areas, to include ITIL when applicable.
• Collaborate with our Business Partners, Technical analysts, Testers, and Production Support Engineers to implement technical requirements.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to implement technical requirements.
• Work closely with QA and key stakeholders to ensure functional requirements are met and test cases adequately cover the functionality being delivered.
• Presents technical issues and cross organizational impact to leadership.
• Effectively builds and maintains a network of key contacts across company and leverages these contacts to achieve results.
• Has a comprehensive understanding of the organization's current software applications and tools and in-depth knowledge of programming languages and systems important to the organization.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Position Requirements

• BS or BA degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 7+ years full-stack web development experience.
• 5+ years using web analytics and SEO tools.
• 5+ managing both internal and external resources.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket.
• Expertise in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, WordPress, XML, JSON, SaaS, etc.)
• Knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
• Knowledge of Puppeteer or similar web scraping technology for gathering data from Websites.
• Experience with Docker for local development.
• Knowledge of best practices for web development, including coding standards, code reviews, and source control management.
• Experience in utilizing design patterns, building frameworks, building custom UI, and optimizing web pages for performance.
• Ability to learn new frameworks, new environments, and new technologies.
• SQL skills and knowledge of relational database structures.

Additional Information

Cutera expects to reasonably pay in the range listed below for this position based on the city and state listed in the job posting:

Annual base salary: $126,445 - $186,138

The actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, and candidate residence if the position is remote or field-based. We reserve the option to pay above this range for exemplary experience or higher education.
