Job SummaryOur Lube Technicians are a key component to our operation at Flex Fleet Rental. They ensure the quality of our rental fleet is maintained through its entire rental life span. Working together with team members, our experienced technicians perform hundreds of repairs and maintenance activities per month to keep our customized rental fleet working.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities· Perform repair, maintenance, and service work on our rental fleet (pickups through 550's, Pass Van's)· Complete repair and maintenance tasks in a timely manner, meeting service schedule deadlines set by the Department Manager· Understand basic recall and warranty information from OEM's· Understand how to utilize and read service manuals· Verify all repair and maintenance items have been properly installed, and complete workshop orders with accurate parts and labor hours· Understand Flex Fleet return, check in and QC inspection process from start to finish· Understand and execute all quality and safety standards regarding repair and maintenance procedures and best practices, with work performed passing a quality inspection· Perform electronic vehicle check-in inspections via tablet with close attention to detail to ensure we are capturing all billable damages· Troubleshoot basic automotive mechanical and electrical problems through visual and mechanical inspections· Prioritize safety, quality, and customer service· Escalate judgement calls to shop manager· Work together with team members and Shop Manager to continuously improve repair and maintenance processes· All other duties as assigned

Experience · 1-2 years of mechanical and/or electrical experience.· Attending an automotive or electrical technical school (preferred)

Qualifications/Skills· Have valid driver's license· Knowledge of and ability to use a variety of hand and power tools. Have or be willing to purchase required tools· ASE certifications, air brake certifications, TIA certification preferred· Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment· Strong team player· Ability to write simple correspondence and use a tablet· Capacity to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment

Education· High school diploma or GED required· College or technical school preferred
