Job summary
The Polysomnographic Technologist/Scorer is responsible for the safe operation of sophisticated medical equipment to record sleep/wake physiology and performing diagnostic and therapeutic polysomnography in accordance with physician orders and organizational policies and procedures.This position has external contacts with physicians as well as extensive direct patient care and patient contact on a daily basis.
Requirements
- Polysomnographic training or Respiratory Therapy training or EEG Technology; or Bachelor's degree in health-related science or psychology; or combination of education and experience in a related field
- Boarded by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT)
- One year of polysomnographic technology experience required
- CPR Certification
