    The core working hours are 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, Monday through FridayStarting pay is $21.26 per hourThis site is governed by a collective bargaining agreementThis position requires that the employee must successfully complete criminal history information background check and drug screening and be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearanceQUALIFICATIONSFloor Care Experience is requiredHigh School Diploma or equivalentOne (1) year experience as Lead Custodial worker requiredSome supervisory experience preferredPrior experience supervising individuals with disabilities preferredMust be able to pass the required security clearanceKEY RESPONSIBILITIESSweeps and mops hallways, stairs, and officesEmpties tenants' waste baskets and dispose of the trash in the prescribed mannerSpecks of dust horizontal surfacesClean bathroomsWaxes and buffs floors with prescribed buffersCleans glass and windowsWashes walls and other vertical surfacesPerforms snow removal if required by contract specificationsPolishes kick panels, door knobs, and other designated fixturesStrips and waxes floorsVacuum rugsMixes cleaning solutionsMaintains issued equipmentNotifies supervisor when supplies and equipment are needed to perform tasksSupervises activities of assigned workers on a temporary basis while performing own workAssumes responsibility for the crew during the absence of the foremanPerforms all other duties assigned by Custodial ForemanPHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONSThe incumbent must be able to stand or walk 90% of the work time; sit 10%He/she must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds and push/pull 50 pounds in order to clean work areas and handle supplies and equipmentHe/she must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reachThese requirements are necessary for using ladders and stairs, cleaning low areas, high areas, benches, and cornersHe/she must be able to communicate with supervisors and co-workersMust have good vision, with depth perception and the ability to distinguish colors for safety reasonsEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
