    Superior Completion Services is currently seeking a Buyer for our office inHouston, TX.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


    Develop an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open Purchase Orders (PO's) ensuring priority items are delivered on timeMaintain proper purchasing controls in accordance with company policyReview requisitions for proper purchasing authority/specifications and convert requisitions into PO's using independent judgment and discretion for vendor selectionRead and interpret engineering drawings and B.O.MsEvaluate raw material suppliers' price and delivery for the purchase of bar, tube, and casing.

    Evaluate machine shop capabilities and request quotes for 3rd party manufacturingReview and select vendors based on quality requirements, delivery times and most favorable priceParticipates in vendor negotiations and contract reviewsPerform buying of sellable and rental equipment from approved vendors to meet the needs of Superior Operations Group and the CustomerAssist Accounts Payable in ensuring vendors meet distribution requirementsIdentify and qualify new vendors and maintain current vendor relationshipsCoordinate with Inventory Management to ensure all deliveries satisfy the assigned PO's and report/negate any back-ordered or missing productsAssist in physical inventories and drive proper inventory levelsEstablish reliable lines of contact with operations management & engineering teams to ensure all PO's are accurateThe above statements are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified; nothing restricts the company's right to change, assign, or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time or for any reasonTECHNICAL SKILLSExercises independent judgment and discretion over significant matters relating to the procurement of products while maintaining sufficient margins to be profitable.

    Strong negotiating skillsKnowledge of contract pricing agreementsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsand BOMs.
    Knowledge of raw material bar, tube, and casingComprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and industry standard PO software(Microsoft D365)

    • Understanding of Supply Chain practices used in the oil and gas industry
