    Position Description:
    We are looking for a talented, motivated, self-starter to join our fast growing, proven Start Up.

    The Accounting position will create value for our multiple product lines in several ways, both from a Treasury and Accounting perspective.

    First, this position will execute and improve processes to ensure we are collecting cash as quickly as possible. Second, this position will help support the close process to ensure our financial package is completed accurately and timely.

    Third, this position will be responsible for improving our reporting workflows and, gradually, making our data flow more efficiently under the mentorship and guidance of the Assistant Controller.

    The ideal candidate will be flexible and have a hands-on, team oriented, and proactive "go getter" approach to help move the company forward in achieving its goals.

    This role will have defined daily and monthly tasks, but will also include exciting Finance and Accounting projects. These projects and improvements will have exposure to the C-suite and senior management to help develop the person in this position into a

    strategic Finance & Accounting professional .


    Major Areas of Responsibility:
    Work closely with the Assistant Controller to ensure daily cash processes are executed quickly and efficiently.
    Perform daily cash flow model updates and advise the various product owners of their AVB projections.
    Review processed AP for accuracy and completion
    Perform monthly balance sheet reviews and complete journal entries.
    Perform P&L review and journal entries
    Maintain monthly, quarterly, & annual close activities
    Report creation and maintenance
    Assist in the budgeting process.

    Be able to help execute on required activities where there are resource gaps (with appropriate training and within reason) to help shore up the gaps and help develop a plan to permanently close gap in resourcing.

    Create and maintain desk procedures

    Support special projects such as analysis and recommendations on discreet projects mergers and acquisitions, portfolio purchases and other discretionary projects as well as other projects that require financial analysis and input.

    Be able to work in coordination with the Assistant Controller on funding requirements, procuring credit lines and adhering to current covenants and other requirements.


    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    Excel and PowerPoint Skills are a must, other software program knowledge is a plus
    Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
    Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
    Excellent Problem-solving skills and process-oriented thinking skills
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics
    Quick and eager learner
    Proficiency in other Microsoft Office programs (OneNote, Scheduling programs etc.) – nice to have
    Proactive and confident to recommend solutions rather than present problems
    Finance or Accounting experience is a requirement
    Experience with managing data and / or some data science activities are a major plus


    Education and Experience:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration is a must
    Relevant experience in Finance and Accounting or related fields can substitute for Bachelor's degree


    Physical Demands:
    The physical demands of the position are typical of those found in a traditional office environment. The Office Manager will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and reach with hands and arms. The position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
