- Virtual Reality The roles and responsibilities for the successful associate software engineer includes: • Develop and test software based on project requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to design innovative software solutions.
- Write clean, scalable, and efficient code using programming languages like Java, C++, Python, etc.
- Debug and troubleshoot software to resolve issues and improve performance.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share best practices.
- Assist in the documentation of software, including user manuals and technical reports.
- Continually update technical knowledge and skills by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, etc.
- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including ideation, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery of software projects.
- Adhere to best practices in software development and the company's internal procedures and standards
- BS degree in a technical discipline (including but not limited to Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, etc.)
- Must be a US citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a Federal clearance
- Documented experience with "Hands-on" skills in at least one object-oriented, procedural, functional, or declarative programming language (e.g., Java, C/C++/Objective-C/C#, Python, Go, JavaScript, Ruby)
- Demonstrated ability and desire to quickly learn and apply new technologies
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues
- High level desire to help their nation solve its most critical challenges Preferred Qualifications: • Preference given to qualified candidates with an active clearance
- 2 years+ of relevant experience or internships
- Exposure to software development tools and frameworks, including source control management tools (e.g., Git)
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
- Knowledge of software design patterns
- Knowledge of database technologies, including relational or NoSQL
