    The Prep/Buffet Cook is responsible for preparing food products for the prep and/or buffet area.

    Responsibilities:

    Reads recipes and produces products in a timely manner.

    Reads the daily prep sheet to determine production amounts.


    Places products in the hot wells once properly heated and reheats various food products and place on the line as needed.

    Stores all food products in specific size pans, covers, labels, dates and places on the line as needed.

    Clean as you go and sanitize the work area, equipment, walls and floors.

    Assists management team in controlling food cost.

    Observes the basic rules of kitchen safety, sanitation and back door safety.

    Uses First In First Out (FIFO) rule to ensure proper rotation.

    Utilizes various cleaning chemicals in accordance with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

    Completes all daily, opening and closing side work. Get checked out by management before leaving the building.

    Provides friendly and competent customer service.

    Reports for work in a timely manner when scheduled.

    Qualifications:


    Education and/or Experience (include certs or licenses needed):
    Restaurant, retail or guest service experience preferred.

    Minimum

    Qualifications:

    Able to work under stress.

    Able to work accurately and rapidly.

    Must possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude.

    Must be flexible with the ability to adapt to change when required.

    Ability to work with different pieces of kitchen equipment.

    Must be well groomed and follow company uniform standards.

    Must be able to work holidays and weekends.

    Must have reliable transportation and phone.

    Must be able to communicate in English. – IF APPLICABLE

    Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.

    Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
