    BWXT is currently seeing a Core Design Engineering intern for its Lynchburg, VA location.

    **BWXT is seeking an intern with the responsibility for providing support including, but not limited to:**

    + Collaborate with experienced engineers and designers to develop analytical models for nuclear reactor neutronics or thermal performance analysis and assess their operating characteristics using state-of-the-art analysis software.

    + Work within a multi-disciplinary team to make design tradeoffs and decisions relating to neutronics or thermal performance of a terrestrial or space based nuclear reactor system.

    **Job Qualifications / Requirements:**

    + Must be a currently enrolled student, pursuing a degree in engineering or physics.

    + Must have a strong interest in nuclear engineering.

    + Must have taken introductory engineering classes, including thermodynamics, fluid flow, and nuclear engineering courses, including neutronics.

    + Experience with nuclear analysis tools (MCNP, SCALE, MOOSE or other) is a plus.

    + Must be a U.S. citizen.
