    THOR Solutions is actively seeking Senior Technical Instructors to support an upcoming professional support services contract for the U.S. Navy in Norfolk, VA. Candidates will be subject matter experts (SME) in one of the following specialties as it relates to the U.S.

    Navy and Regional Maintenance Centers (RMC), and will provide technical instruction, instructional systems design, and curriculum development services:
    RMC Project Manager (PM)Port Engineer (PE)Shipbuilding Specialist (SBS)Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS)RMC Engineering SMERMC Planning/Integrated Production Schedule (IPS)Integrated Test Engineer (ITE)Project Support Engineer (PSE)Assessment Director (AD)Basic Trades


    SME:
    Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E)Basic Trades


    SME:

    Pipefitting, StructuralFires SafetyCandidates' responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) performing, supporting, or overseeing the following actions:Serve as the RMC Enterprise Project Team SME in their specific area of expertise.

    Lead the delivery of Workforce Development (WFD) project team courses.
    Adapt instructional strategies to meet student needs using a variety of instructional strategies to meet different learning styles.


    Security Clearance Requirements:
    Must possess an active DoD SECRET security clearance, and maintain it for the duration of employment.

    Required Education, Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
    High school diploma/GED equivalent, OR relevant technical diploma/certification, OR relevant military "A" or "C" school diploma/certification.
    Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of recent, relevant professional experience obtained in or supporting the U.S. Navy in one of the above listed specialties.


    Experience should include:


    Delivering Classroom InstructionNavy Surface Ship Repair, ModernizationCOMUSFLTFORCOM INST 4790.3Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM)Navy Maintenance Database (NMD)NAVSEA Contracting Policy/StrategyRegional Maintenance Center (RMC) Project Team Roles/ResponsibilitiesNAVSEA Standard Items (NSI)Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    Proficiency with common productivity software including Microsoft Office.


    Travel Requirements:
    This position may involve periodic travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations including: San Diego, CA; Mayport, FL; Everett, WA; Honolulu, HI; and Arlington, VA

    This position's essential functions typically include (but are not limited to): typing, hearing, talking, vision.
