• AUSTIN, TXDescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYThe Athletics Operations Manager provides administrative support for the Department of Athletics.

The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.

TASK & RESPONSIBILITIESInterfacing daily with the Athletic Director on all fiscal concernsProcess and record accounts payable transactions and ensures that all requisitions invoices and reimbursements are paid accurately and according to financial policiesResponsible for creating and monitoring the athletic team travel process Providing data for completion of all NAIA, RRAC and University reportsAlongside Athletic Director, develops and executes event management plans for all events hosted in assigned Athletics facilitiesServes as Event Manager for events held in athletics facilities.

Manages internal and external constituents and event service providers resulting in successful event operationsQualificationsBachelor's Degree (Required); Master's Degree (Preferred) Three years of experience as an intercollegiate athletic administrator and/or coach with oversight of team travel and/or game day operationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIESAbility to speak read and comprehend the English languageStrong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skillsStrong attention to detail and follow-throughAbility to work effectively and cooperatively within a team and independentlyAbility to work under deadline pressure and manage multiple activitiesAdvanced computer proficiency and the ability to learn additional programsPreferable knowledge of NAIA rules and regulations Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively with various constituencies including students, faculty, administrators, and the general publicSUPERVISION This position reports to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics DirectorSALARY RANGE$47,000 annually, plus benefitsPOSITION STATUSFull-time, in-person SETTINGFounded in 1875, Huston-Tillotson University is Austin's first institution of higher education.
