    Position Description:

CGI is seeking a Senior Operations Research Analyst to support a Navy organization responsible for providing integrated logistics, engineering, information technology expertise, and a range of products and services to all facets of the Navy's worldwide logistics support structure.

    The Senior Operations Research Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business needs to develop and implement solutions that leverage systems and processes. You will work with the business to understand their needs, related to information technology and enhance business process by promoting new functionality. Using advanced knowledge of the organization's technology infrastructure and specific software applications assist the business to implement strategic vision through technology.

    Your future duties and responsibilities:


    • Assist in the creation and support of all necessary delivery artifacts and documentation.

    • Manage new documentation and revised documentation through lifecycle and document management system.

    • Review established documentation and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, and content.

    • Continuously discover, evaluate, and work to refine processes and procedures.

    • Serve as the team SME for client delivery processes and procedures.

    • Assist in the creation of business metrics and generate regular reports for the Operations team.

    • Respond to customers as needed; responding to Action Requests (AR) and questions related to support delivery.

    • Manage customer support tickets and assist with ensuring issues are resolved in a timely fashion.

    • Partner with development team for continuous improvements.

    • Continuously engage/collect customer requirements that drive product improvement, new capabilities, and drive efficiencies.

    • Manage project deliveries against aggressive timelines.

    • Collaborate closely with Operations business owners to identify technology needs, gather requirements, develop functional designs, and recommend solutions.

    • Partner with capability teams to design, test, implement, and support new features, systems, and processes.

    • Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements.

    • Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operation time, and form of desired results. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirements specifications.

    • Provides consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top-level contributor/specialist of most phases of systems analysis, while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.

    • Develop test plans, test criteria, scenarios and documentation; ensure acceptance of delivered solutions

    • Proven ability to work independently, and as a team member.

    Required qualifications to be successful in this role:


    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related information technology field.

    • 7 years of experience in business or related job including analysis of business requirements and preparation of project and technical documentation.

    • Able to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environment.

    • High degree of initiative and creativity to suggest new ways of approaching problems.

    • Team oriented with the ability to work cooperatively with personnel from various departments.

    • Excellent ability to communicate through written, oral, and presentation skills.

    • Strong attention to detail.

    • Manage changes to requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

    • Communicate effectively (verbal and written) and clearly within the team and with all the stakeholders.

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Active Secret clearance required

    Desired Skills:

    • Proven ability to develop and maintain system documentation.

    • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.

    • Experience supporting a Department of Defense (DOD) client.
