For information regarding the USF Health, please visit our website atThe Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Pediatrics-Pediatric Hospital Medicine, University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, Tampa is seeking a hospital-based Advanced Practitioner Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant that will act in accordance with Florida Statutes for the Nurse Practitioners Act.
Duties include inpatient care and may involve teaching of students and residents.This position will be assigned to primarily cover day/mid shifts and may be assigned to night shifts and includes weekend coverage.
This is a hospital-based position located at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital in Tampa, Florida.Responsible for providing direct medical care to patients in a hospital or medical clinic.
Typical duties include the diagnosis, treatment, operation, or prescription for any human disease, pain, injury, deformity, or other physical or mental condition.
May provide clinical teaching experience for students or residents. Joseph's Children's Hospital and may involve coverage of the Chronic Complex Clinic at St. Joseph's Hospital. Documentation of all orders, procedures, and progress notes on the patient's medical record.Participation in Quality Assurance / Improvement projects. Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities. Responsible for academic advising and related activities.
Master's or Medical degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties.
This position requires graduation from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 464 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64, or graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 458 and 459 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64.
