    We are looking for a Senior HR Business Partner that will act as a business partner to the Rail Operations team in aligning business objectives with teammates and management.

    The Sr.

    HRBP will provide support and advise their client group on recruitment, talent management and development, labor and teammate relations, and performance management.

    As we run a nearly 24/7 operation, this position requires flexibility to support the team evening and weekends, as needed, and to work onsite across our Florida-based footprint.

    Your Role:

    Business Partner :

    Serves as the liaison between Rail Operations and the People & Culture team and provides guidance and support to the client group in all aspects of people strategy, partnering with business leaders to identify their teammate needs & given objectives; Works with the business to improve business results through lowering turnover, improving manager effectiveness, and developing high-performing teammates; Maintains knowledge of employment regulations, industry trends, and business unit trends, ensuring compliance and implementing corrective measures when appropriate.


    Teammate Relations :

    Coaches operations leadership on teammate relations to achieve problem resolution; conducts investigations involving teammate complaints and disputes; resolves simple issues while involving leadership to achieve resolution of complex teammate relations issues; Assists in the design and implementation of teammate programs, policies, and procedures; effectively communicates and employs these policies and procedures to teammates.


    Culture / Experience :

    Ensures that strong leadership and a coaching culture permeates the organization; Acts as a trusted advisor to Rail Operations leaders, providing guidance on the people impact of business decisions and change initiative; Provides expert advice and coaching to teammates when appropriate; Encourages a culture of engagement through regular communication, teammate recognition, and ongoing teammate interactions; May assist in the facilitation of New Hire Orientation with the partnership of Learning and Development.


    You:
    Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field; an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered
    5+ years applicable HR experience within the transportation or similar industry, with progressive experience as an HR Business Partner in a multi-site environment
    Knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws and regulations
    Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
    Proven capabilities in people strategy, understanding workforce requirements, identifying capabilities, and proactively developing and implementing plans to achieve needed outcomes
    Experience in creative problem solving, influencing, change management, and eliminating barriers at any organizational level
    Results-orientation and time management skills
    Flexibility and the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects
    Strong business orientation
    Excellent analytical skills
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office, primarily Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
    Ability to work onsite and in the field in a fast-paced, multi-site environment required
    Ability to travel often to various locations across Brightline's Florida-based footprint required
    Ability to work nights/weekends and be on-call as needed to support the business required
