    Description

    Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist
    Columbus, OH

    Currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join a finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts receivable processes, excellent communication skills, and and a passion for precision and efficiency. This role offers the chance to contribute directly to organizational success by managing customer accounts, resolving payment discrepancies, and optimizing the receivables processes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Customer Account Management: Handle invoicing, payment posting, and account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Payment Collection: Keep a close eye on accounts receivable aging, promptly following up on overdue payments to maintain timely collections.
    • Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and billing issues efficiently, maintaining positive relationships with clients.
    • Effective Communication: Engage with customers to address inquiries, resolve disputes, and arrange payment plans professionally and courteously.
    • Process Improvement: Collaborate with internal teams to refine receivables processes, enhancing cash flow management and operational efficiency.
    • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze AR aging reports, identifying trends and potential risks to inform strategic decision-making.
    • Month-end and Year-end Support: Assist with the close processes related to accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance.


    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software is essential.
    • Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, enabling professional interaction with both customers and colleagues.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Familiarity with accounting principles and best practices in accounts receivable is advantageous.
