Attractions Operators play an essential role in creating a fun, safe, and welcoming environment where guests feel confident, excited, and eager to participate.

    Your Role in Attractions

    As an Attractions Operator, you are the face of our games, attractions, and arcade areas. You will engage guests with enthusiasm, explain how experiences work, and ensure all activities are operated safely and fairly. You will help maintain a positive, high-energy environment while staying attentive to safety, integrity, and guest enjoyment throughout every interaction.

    What You'll Be Doing
    Guest Engagement and Experience
    • Welcome guests to attractions, midway games, and arcade areas with a friendly, upbeat, and enthusiastic approach
    • Assist guests with check-in and guide them to their activity or game area
    • Clearly explain game rules, instructions, and safety guidelines so guests feel confident and prepared
    • Encourage participation and create a fun, engaging environment
    • Maintain a high-energy, positive atmosphere throughout the guest experience
    • Answer guest questions and assist with arcade machines, card readers, tickets, and prize redemption
    • Deliver outstanding guest service that reflects Belmont Park's hospitality standards
    Safety and Integrity
    • Prepare guests for participation by reviewing requirements and confirming eligibility, including height and weight when applicable
    • Assist guests with safety harnesses, helmets, and other equipment according to training and safety standards
    • Properly fit, secure, and inspect all safety equipment prior to use
    • Provide clear safety instructions and ongoing guidance before and during activities
    • Operate attraction controls and safety systems as trained
    • Actively observe guest activity and provide guidance, support, and safety reminders as needed
    • Encourage and support guests, including those who may feel hesitant or nervous
    • Respond calmly, professionally, and effectively to unsafe or inappropriate behavior
    • Enforce safety rules in a positive, respectful, and confident manner
    • Follow established procedures to ensure safe operations, integrity in gameplay, and consistent execution across all attractions
    Cleanliness and Presentation
    • Maintain clean, organized, and guest-ready attraction, arcade, and game areas at all times
    • Keep counters, merchandise, displays, and prize areas neat, organized, and fully stocked
    • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, wiping equipment, and emptying trash
    • Ensure all areas remain visually appealing and consistent with Belmont Park presentation standards
    • Track and monitor prize inventory as directed
    Professional Conduct and Communication
    • Inspect assigned areas regularly and report maintenance or safety concerns immediately
    • Follow all company policies, grooming standards, and safety procedures
    • Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors, teammates, and guests
    • Stay informed about park events, promotions, and operating hours
    • Support teamwork across departments as needed
    • Perform other duties as assigned and as trained to support park operations and guest experiences

    Requirements

    Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
    • Ability to lift to 40 lbs. and move equipment as needed.
    • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying coastal weather.
    • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, or platforms when required.
    • Ability to work in environments with music, noise, and arcade sounds.
    Skills/Qualifications:
    • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
    • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
    • Basic math skills for payments, scoring, and prize redemption.
    • Comfortable using handheld devices such as scanners or card readers.
    • Strong commitment to guest and team safety.
    • Ability to remain calm, friendly, and professional in challenging interactions.
    • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Previous guest service, attractions, or arcade experience is helpful but not required.
    • A positive, high-energy attitude is essential.
    Expected Hours of Work:
    Flexible availability is required, including nights, holidays, and peak seasons. Team members must maintain open availability for at least two of the three weekend days: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

    Testing/Work Authorization:
    • Valid U.S. work authorization required.
    • Must be 16 years of age or older.
    • Applicants 18 and older will be required to complete a background check upon receiving a conditional job offer.
